AGLOSTARROS - The Aglostarros University Museum today announced a new, ongoing exhibition of discoveries “from beyond the borders of the Coreworlds Conglomerate”. This comes following news that Project Centennial, a University exploration initiative founded 100 years ago, has begun to yield results.
Launched in 2165, Project Centennial comprised a swarm of 100 exploration drones, each set on a trajectory which would take it into the depths of unknown Space. Their purpose: to observe and report on astronomical, biological, technological and even sociological phenomena not yet accessible to manned expeditions. The forthcoming exhibition will showcase the Project’s most intriguing findings.
The drones, known as Centurions, were expertly engineered for sustained operation and designed to withstand a multitude of environmental hazards. However, despite every precaution, the Project soon lost contact with its Centurions; historical reports claim that the probes simply stopped responding.
Following years of inactivity and eventual defunding, Project Centennial was mothballed by the University until today when, according to Curator Endelle Stroth, “our wayward Centurions have begun to send back new data in abundance.”
Stroth stated in a press release: “The fruits of this project are certain to amaze the public just as much as they have amazed us.” She made sure to add that “the Project Centennial exhibition represents only a fraction of what we have learned so far, and we hope to continue expanding the collection with our most fascinating specimens.”
The Project Centennial exhibition opens to the public next Friday; look forward to our review in the Culture section.
