I won’t lie, honoured patron. It’s been a difficult month. Project Centennial rendered dazzling results, but as more of our incredible galaxy came within the reach of our citizens, covetous collectors only went to greater lengths to guarantee the exclusivity of their trinkets. So we started the ARK Mandate. But any hope I felt at the prospect of preserving the galaxy’s wonders is already dwindling. Our ships are beset by raiders. Our investors are threatening to leave. Who can blame them? I am only now realising I have enemies. By daring to suggest that the beauty of the cosmos should be free for all, I have somehow invited opposition. Is that simply the nature of being in the public eye? If so, I fear I do not have the stomach for it. Perhaps I still belong among dusty tomes and relics. Ah, well. Things may change for the better yet.

Yours in curiosity, Curator Endelle Stroth
